Portland Helmich is an accomplished professional storyteller. As a producer and writer, she’s dedicated to telling stories that enlighten, inspire, and entertain.

Portland is the creator, host, and executive producer of What’s the Alternative?, a 52-episode national talk show about natural and alternative healing practices and the creator, host, and producer of Kripalu Perspectives, a series of podcast interviews with leaders in the natural health world.
Portland worked as a producer/writer at Northern Light Productions, a documentary film company in Boston, for more than five years. While there, she hosted and co-produced/co-wrote the podcast, Stranglers, which The Atlantic named one of the best podcasts of 2016.
Her work has been featured on: Oxygen; the Travel, Sundance and History Channels; Animal Planet and PBS, among many other digital and TV platforms.
Portland is also a much sought-after voice-over and on-camera talent with a deep roster of credits in both corporate and broadcast TV.
